A Very Brief Discussion on Three Different File Types. The file types I will be discussing are: .JPG/JPEG, .PNG, and .GIF.          So, to begin, I will talk about the .JPG/JPEG. JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group. JPEG and JPG are the same file type, they are just different names. the JPEG was first created by the ISO in 1983, the intention was to be able to put images inside the text-only terminal based programs that were predominant at the time. JPEG file types used date compression to keep image file size smaller and therefore was much easier to implement in these primitive programs. It used a type of compression called 'lossy' compression.  This type of compression essentially destroys a huge number of the pixels inside the image, but is almost totally unseeable to the human eye. Three AMAZING Multimedia website!

I've recently been looking at what makes a great multimedia website. Multimedia means implementing more than one form of media, this can be video, sound, interactivity, animation and so on. Here are three great examples that I've found today, check them out! The first one is the Innocent Smoothie  website. This company is known for its quirky, playful and soft approach to branding. It's hand-drawn font and silly pictures are instantly recognisable. There is a very child-like nature to their branding. Another enormous part of IS's identity is that they are in touch with nature. They use natural ingredients, give to charity and are always in touch with the charitable and human side of the modern world. This website is great because it is perfectly consistent with the products they sell and their brand identity. The gentle animations that unfold throughout the page feel soft and playful as they should for this brand. The page's content also reacts to the way you scrol
