Presentation Skills Blog

Presentation Skills Blog Here are FIVE really important skills when you are presenting a presentation. The first one is to remember to project your voice. This is a very common mistake. Whether you have a naturally loud or naturally muted voice, you must remember to control your volume in order to make sure everyone can hear you clearly and easily. You don't need to yell, but also remember you can't just talk normally - no one will hear you and everyone will see you are nervous! The second point is to remember to be gesticular. This may seem counter-intuative because you want to draw attention to the presentation you have created, but being gesticular and being an engaging speaker is SO essential to teaching what you are there to teach. You can have the best presentation in the world but if you are boring to listen to, then you will damage the quality of your overall teaching. The third point would be to always include the audeince. At the end of the day, a presentation is ver

3 Examples of Creative Collaborations

Creative Collaborations It's clear that there are multiple creative industries who specialize in certain mediums, you have the film industry, the music industry, the advertising industry, etc. It's very common for multiple industries to collaborate on one piece of media, usually a large-scale advertisement or campaign. Here are three examples I have found. I will discuss why each one is a collabo and why.  Most of these examples are brand deals, where two or more brands join together to promote each other and fund each other and pursue a public campaign. The intention is usually to sell more products and build more exposure. Billie Eilish X Adobe 2021 Collaborators:  Adobe - Computer software company Billie Eilish (BE) - Famous pop star YouTube - Video sharing website Adobe teamed up with BE to market their Creative Cloud program to creatives. The motivation behind this was to get young BE fans who are also artists to use Adobe's software to create designs and merchandise

A Very Brief Discussion on Three Different File Types. The file types I will be discussing are: .JPG/JPEG, .PNG, and .GIF.          So, to begin, I will talk about the .JPG/JPEG. JPEG stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group. JPEG and JPG are the same file type, they are just different names. the JPEG was first created by the ISO in 1983, the intention was to be able to put images inside the text-only terminal based programs that were predominant at the time. JPEG file types used date compression to keep image file size smaller and therefore was much easier to implement in these primitive programs. It used a type of compression called 'lossy' compression.  This type of compression essentially destroys a huge number of the pixels inside the image, but is almost totally unseeable to the human eye. This made the JPEG a very powerful tool for using images more frequently and soon the JPEG became a world standard for the desired image file type. The pros of JPEG files are: They a

Three AMAZING Multimedia website!

Image
I've recently been looking at what makes a great multimedia website. Multimedia means implementing more than one form of media, this can be video, sound, interactivity, animation and so on. Here are three great examples that I've found today, check them out! The first one is the Innocent Smoothie  website. This company is known for its quirky, playful and soft approach to branding. It's hand-drawn font and silly pictures are instantly recognisable. There is a very child-like nature to their branding. Another enormous part of IS's identity is that they are in touch with nature. They use natural ingredients, give to charity and are always in touch with the charitable and human side of the modern world. This website is great because it is perfectly consistent with the products they sell and their brand identity. The gentle animations that unfold throughout the page feel soft and playful as they should for this brand. The page's content also reacts to the way you scrol
